Apple announced the latest AppleTV product. It replaces the current AppleTV and has quite a few changes. It faces stiff competition from Roku and Boxee and several other innovators. It is clear that online content is the key to your living room- effortlessly streamed from the cloud. Um? Yeah. Right?
At Red Atom Networks, we have said this all along- online content is both here now and the wave of the future. Media servers with ripped music and movies are a niche at best. We all just need a convenient way to get the content from the Internet to our HDTV's and music systems.
Enter the box, err, boxes. AppleTV, Roku, Boxee and others have come up with some great solutions for getting online content to your HDTV and controlling it with common remotes or iPod Touch apps. Which one is better?
