Cameron Diaz Is Web’s Most Dangerous Celebrity Search

The fourth annual McAfee Most Dangerous Celebrities study found searching across the Internet for pictures and downloads of Cameron Diaz can be bad for your cyber-health (too bad).  The study found that by searching for her you have the highest chance of any celebrity (19%) of being infected by viruses, malware, etc. that will be harmful to your computer.

Cybercriminals often use the names of popular celebrities to lure people
to sites that are actually laden with malicious software. Anyone
looking for the latest videos or pictures could end up with a
malware-ridden computer instead of just trendy content.

Julia Roberts, Jessica Biel, Supermodel Giselle and Brad Pitt rounded out the top 5 Most Dangerous Celebrity Searches.  The safest searches were for President Obama and Sarah Palin.

It is important to adequately protect your computer, digital assets, online identity and personal information when using the Internet.  The risk is higher when using a public 'cafe' computer or Wi-Fi hotspot.  Contact us to make sure you are protected.
