Clean Energy vs. Energy Efficiency - Bill Gates wants more money for renewables, but energy efficiency saves money now.

Bill Gates, venture capitalists, big companies and small startups are all trying to come up with solutions to energy and grab a piece of the pie.  We, as consumers, need to wait for quite a while until their plans are hatched and true benefits are realized.  What can we do today?

Today, we can focus on our own individual energy efficiency.  We can use technology that's available now to reduce our energy and overall utility usage and carbon footprint.  If we all did our part to be more efficient, we can start seeing benefits now and can wait for larger benefits when infrastructure changes like solar and wind are made.  Can you do your part?
