Red Atom Networks' partner, Exceptional Innovation (EI), has announced a new service for Microsoft Vista Media Center and Life|ware called Life|amenities.  In a CEpro.com article, "Exceptional Innovation Launches LifeAmenities for Hotels", EI discusses its latest integration with Media Center and Life|ware a the middleware between a guest at a hotel or resident of a condo and a series of web services designed to offer self service for ordering hotel services, such as, room service, dinner reservations and other amenities.  The middleware integrates with third-party services through Microsoft BizTalk and can connect directly with hotel backoffice systems for accounting purposes.

This is a giant step forward for Media Center and Life|ware in terms of extending the use of the platform beyond the living room and offering more ways that the same consistent user interface can be leveraged for additional services for the home user or hotel guest.
