Home Networks 101: Wired, Wireless and Mesh
Home Networks 101: Wired, Wireless & Mesh - Everything you need to know about connecting all the digital data in your home.
Networking is what connects all of your devices and controls together. It is the pathway that allows things to work together to make your life well connected. Virtually every home will have some flexible combination of wired, wireless and mesh networking. This will give you choice of components and increase the reliability of your system.
There are two additional wired methods not mentioned in the article. The first is ethernet over your existing electrical lines. With this method, you can literally use your homes electric wires in the walls to be an extension to the network and allow devices to communicate. The second is ethernet over your existing coax cable. Same thing- you can use existing in-wall coax cables to connect devices to the network. No new wires needed.
As you can imagine from our name, Red Atom Networks believes that a robust network is the cornerstone of a successful solution. We are experienced in leveraging all types of networks to well connect your life. Contact us to get started.
